Welcome to our consulting firm, led by a neurophysiologist with a commitment to advancing neurostimulation and neurodiagnostic methods.
We specialize in the development and optimization of electrodes and techniques for therapeutic medical devices, including closed-loop neuromodulation systems, and the optimization of neurodiagnostic devices and techniques that guide the safe implantation of devices.
Our team is also well-versed in medical malpractice litigation involving intraoperative neuromonitoring (IONM). We have conducted neuromonitoring for thousands of procedures involving the brain, spine, and peripheral nerves. The primary goal of IONM is to swiftly diagnose any functional changes in the nervous system during surgery, allowing surgeons the opportunity to intervene in real-time and prevent postoperative deficits. Inadequate or improperly performed IONM can lead to severe, irreversible injuries, resulting in devastating consequences for patients, their families, healthcare providers, and hospitals.

About Me
W. Bryan Wilent, PhD, DABNM, ASNM
My experience encompasses the entire product lifecycle, including design, grant submission, regulatory processes, clinical trial design, execution, and site identification and management.
I earned my PhD in neuroscience from the University of Pennsylvania and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Neurosciences Institute in San Diego under the mentorship of Douglas Nitz and Nobel Laureate Gerald Edelman. My career shifted to intraoperative neuromonitoring (IONM) and I’ve monitored, supervised, and reviewed hundreds of procedures across various specialties, including brain, spine, vascular, joint, and ENT surgeries.
Previously, I served as the Vice President of Education, Quality, and Research at SpecialtyCare, the largest provider of IONM services in the U.S. I have held significant roles in the field of IONM, including serving on the IONM Committee for the North American Spine Society (NASS), the Board of Directors of the American Board of Neurophysiologic Monitoring (ABNM), and President of the American Society of Neurophysiological Monitoring (ASNM).
Recognizing the need for enhanced neurostimulation and neurodiagnostic techniques in medical devices, I transitioned to medical device and clinical research full-time as the Senior Director of Neuromodulation Innovation in the Department of Neurosurgery at the University of Pennsylvania. I also have been consulting for the past 10 years and subsequently left Penn to consult full-time. My experience encompasses the entire product lifecycle, including design, grant submission, regulatory processes, clinical trial design, execution, and site identification and management.
